Hi Community,

I am also close to cancelling my contract with ID. I have followed instructions from other questions r.e. call issues, but no luck -

I have not been receiving calls at all, and I can’t make calls either. And today my phone has 0 bars of signal. Please can anyone help before I go through the admin of changing provider?

Exactly the same for me today, tried all the suggested tricks and nothing even though I’m showing as having signal, ridiculously poor

Per my post 3 & EE limit indoor coverage

I have been having problems with Indoor coverage  , with iD/3 and according to OFCOM network coverage checker both 3 and EE limit network availability when the device is connected to broadband network.

Whereas O2 and Vodafone do not limit their network when connected to a broadband network.

I opened a thread in this today too but not resolved, I thought ID might monitor threads and make contact but nothing so far. It just seems to be an issue with calls not working for me - I can use data, and WhatsApp.  No idea what this means, or why I should have to know and am sick of resetting, removing sim, switching things off and on. 🤷‍♀️

I have an eSIM so can’t remove sim however I have switched on and off about 5 times with the luck it might come on but no luck. I only have contact via my wifi that’s connected to what’s app. So frustrating!

Tom,

Thanks but no thanks Ive not used 3G since 4G was available and my phones have been set 5G/4G since early 2021.

I use my Lebara sim for calls and data, 3 is useless, 3 only hope that the Vodafone takeover get approval

Regards

Ken

I spoke to a Customer Service provider on the chat function and my issue was resolved (I advised they posted the solution on the community, but unsure if they have)...

In short, I needed to add my +44 number to the My Number section on Settings in my phone (I have an iPhone). I also then turned on iMessages and seems to be working now. Unsure why I lost the number in this section, but working now.

Down under the 3g shut down is causing widespread chaos for 4g users apparently.
