can't swich off safesearch

I'm wondering why safesearch has been locked and it not letting me deactivate it

Are you referring to our adult content filter or your browser/device’s safe search?

 

I’d recommend checking your iD Mobile app/website to disable your adult content filter.

I have the same problem and I've been in the id app and the adult content blocker is switched off yet safe search is still on and telling me someone else is controlling it so how do I turn it off. It wasn't on for the last 7 months but yesterday it just turned it's self on and locked itself so I can't do anything.

Hi @James1313 

 

We wouldn’t suddenly turn it on after it’s already been off, we’d only change it should you request the change, we’d recommend checking your device or browser settings.

Hi @Roysten,

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google app .
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial Settings. SafeSearch.
  3. Select Filter, Blur, or Off. At the top right, if you find a Lock , your SafeSearch setting is locked.

If nothing has changed on our end it sounds like it may be a browser issue.
