Looking at an upgrade as my phone was on the way out last month. I got 3 months left I can pay off the 3 months and upfront cost of a new upgrade but can't seem to find out if you can pay off and restart. Do I threaten to cancel, pay off and give someone else money or will they let me upgrade early? I have 2 contracts and a sim only with ID and have done for the last 4 years. I don't mind, virgin is offering a cheaper tariff for the phone I want and no upfront

Can you pay off the contract early to get an upgrade?

We do not allow early payments in order to upgrade early, however we do allow handset upgrades to happen 60-days before the end of the 24-month period so you may be close to upgrading for free anyway if you only have 3 months left. 🙂
