cannot make or receive calls

I have followed all advice in chats but still cannot make or receive calls. To confirm I am on 4g, iphone is on latest updates, have switched on and off, switched provider temporarily, tried airplane mode off and on, removed sim. Have never experienced this with any other provider but this is second time with Id mobile. Have missed a very important call because of this problem.  Anyone else having this unfixable problem?

I have just finished live chat with Anneline. On iPhone I had to delete my number then re enter it in settings. (It says old number but my number hasn’t changed). Then restarted phone and calls now work. Bizarre - wasted so much time resetting stuff, removing sim etc. Thank you Anneline. Hope this helps others

Okay @EM53, perhaps the 3G network has been switched OFF at your location - if so you’ll need to use VoLTE for calls.

Have you tried a NETWORK RESET on the handset with your iD SIM?

I’m on 4g and understand volte is automatically enabled on iPhones - is that incorrect? Thanks

I have googled and there a reports of people taking phones into shops and being told others have been in with the same problem- I can’t see ID mobile doing another than suggesting it’s down to 3G but I am in 4G and have done everything possible to reset. Everything works except calls - no idea what to do next 🤷‍♀️

Yes @EM53, VoLTE is supposed to be automatically enabled on an iPhone.

What do you see under Settings > General > About, after scrolling down to Network Provider?

Tap the text to the right-hand side of Network Provider.

I see ID 59.0. It seems as though only calls don’t work, I switched Wi-Fi off and still have Id mobile data. Thank you for responding. I tried chat but it was hopeless. Hardly use calls so wasn’t aware it didn’t work but I was supposed to pick someone up after their chemo and they couldn’t contact me but to them it just looked like I didn’t answer

And when you tap on 59.0, @EM53?

Sounds like you’re using iOS 18 - I wonder if there is an issue with this iOS release.

Nothing happens if I try and tap on it it’s greyed out. I only updated it today incase it not being updated was causing the problem - thanks again- hopefully someone from ID mobile will read this thread
