Cannot receive landline calls from id mobile

I've just switched to a new digital landline provider and have upgraded to full fibre. I have noticed we can receive landline calls from other mobile networks apart from id mobile.

I am an id mobile user as is my partner and daughter. All of us can call our landline and hear the ring from our mobiles, but the landline handset does not ring. My Dad who is on another mobile network can call and we hear it ring on the landline.

Is there a setting we can change in our id mobile accounts that can solve this or can anyone please suggest a fix?

Many thanks in advance.

You have what is known in the industry as a ‘split port’. You need to raise this with your landline provider! You need to tell them that since your number was ported over you cannot receive calls from anyone on the THREE network or any MVNO that uses them, such as iD Mobile, SMARTY etc.

Have you recently ported over an existing landline or is this a new line that came with a new number? Regardless, you need to raise the issue with your landline provider.

Hi Paul.

I asked for the landline number to be transferred over, the new provider has confirmed it has been done, so the new number that came with the new provider has gone. Note, before the transfer the new number worked fine from our mobiles, the problem started after the port. To check this, I had friends and family ring the landline and it works fine, none of them are on iD Mobile. As I said, I am with iD Mobile along with my daughter and wife. None of us can get the landline phone to ring. With that in mind I concluded it was a iD Mobile issue. Weird isn’t it.

Many thanks and much appreciated 😁👍

Hi Paul

Just an update as promised.

Contacted BeFibre and explained about your suggestion of the possibility of it being a 'Split Port'

They passed is to thier technical team and 2 days on it is now resolved. I can now phone my landline via my idMobile.

Thanks really appreciate your help. Have a great day 😁👍
