cant make or get calls. but can send and get texts, whatsapp etc.


I've tried all troubleshooting online. No phone updates required, no service issues noted. Restarted my phone, airplane mode on and off again etc. 

I've missed an important phone appointment this morning because of this issue and can't even call them to explain why! 

I can still get texts and send them. But when people try to call me or I try to call them it doesn't work. Won't ring my end at all. And they get a weird dial tone but it doesn't come through my side. What's going on?

My phone and family on ID is the same in the Preston.

No calls, but can use txt email Wats app.

Can't find anything about a fault on the network page

Pretty bad form that we didn't receive a text or email or anything about this when it's an issue you were aware of. 

I've missed an appointment that I've waited ages for because of this. And now will have to wait all over again. Wasting NHS time and money. And my time too. If I knew about this issue, I could have cancelled or rescheduled sooner...

Apologies ​@JessM97, we were made aware of the issue from our network partner Three UK this morning, and have been providing communications here on Community and on Social Media since. We hope it’ll get resolved soon!

You could/should have sent a text (as that service is not affected). Lots of people working and waiting on phone appts etc. And won't be checking social media or the community. I know of at least 1 other person who has also missed a phone appt today and was unaware of the network issue...
