I moved over to ID at the start of the year. I noticed a significant difference from the provider that I was previously with. I struggle to make calls or receive them now and this does not matter whether I am at home or out and about. My husband has the exact same model phone and is also with ID, he does not have the same issue. I have no idea why this is so bad and would really appreciate some help with this.

Yes @EGough as it’s less than 12 months old pop it down to your local Currys.

If they find the phone at fault they should be able to get things moving.

If they think it might be a SIM card issue, which has been happening of late, they can also issue a replacement there and then (assuming they have them in stock of course)

Hi there @EGough

(pinch his phone)

Actually, has your area lost 3G?

You could put your postcode in this first to see if 3G has now gone:

https://www.three.co.uk/content/experience-fragments/threedigital/uk/en/site/mvno/coverage-checker/idmobile.html

It shows 4G first, simply select 3G and 5G (though your phone would need to be 5G capable)

Then if 3G has indeed gone, then you may wish to read this:

What you need to have is 4G or LTE but either must have VoLTE

If you don’t have the ability to switch these on then it might be related to either your previous phone providers software or indeed (annoyingly) the age of you iD provided phone.

HI, I have checked and 3G has not been turned off here.

The phone was brand new when I swapped to ID so it shouldn't be to do with the age of the phone either.

Is there anywhere I can take the phone? I'm paying a decent amount a month but can't make calls and can't be contacted when needed.

Thanks

Just to add @EGough

Even though 3G is still active, it would be advisable to make the alterations to your phone now, as per the 2nd link. The reason is you may travel through areas that have had 3G switched off and this will affect you in making and receiving calls.
