Hi

From today my Iphone 13 Pro Max wont receive or make any calls.

When trying to call, it will say connecting and wont even time out...or if it does timeout i lose all signal to iD.

Receiving it doesnt ring, although the users end it does ring then goes to voicemail, and i then get a notification i have a voicemail.

I have tried:

restarting phone

joining another network

airplane mode

reseting network settings

What NEXT?

If this isnt sorted today, i will be leaving iD.

If none of these options are working then it is very likely that IDmobile is not supporting your phone. Google Pixel 3A is listed as N/A 🙁

Try going to iMessage in settings and toggle on or off then turn off phone and switch it back on. It worked for me on my iPhone 13 pro max

I’m experiencing a similar issue and not getting a fix/response from ID Mobile. Looks to be an issue with the 3G disconnection from Three and doesn’t appear to be getting addressed anytime soon.

I would put in a compliant under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for the lack of service and choose another sim network. Vodafone and EE networks have already completed their 3G switch offs.

Same issue with Iphone 12, its working with a Three sim but not with the idmobile one…. Done all the steps. Can I leave without early exit charge? Not my fault that I am not receiving the service…. Funny thing is that it works in other locations but not where I live… can still send texts and mobile internet works but cant make or receive phone-calls. Not happy.

I have managed to fix it on my Iphone…. If you are using an Iphone with IOS18 open settings, select apps, scroll down and select phone, and where it says “My number” type your number starting with a 0(zero). Then click save. Try to make a phone call. Worked for me straight away.

This works!!

Spent days trying many things. Hours wasted on live chat who did not have a clue. Wasted trip to Curry’s. Why do ID not know this simple fix??

Thanks DPeter, I have been having the problem with being unable to receive or make calls and have been looking for a fix, from trying to follow this (hasn’t worked on my Pixel 3a sadly) I have noticed that on the ‘About phone’ section, where it used to display my phone number; it now says phone number unknown: I wonder if this is either a symptom or a cause?

Also the phone number is unknown on the SIM:

And the calls and Sim is greyed out:

So what is going on, iD?

Can one of your tech people offer the simple solution for android/pixel 3a that a previous poster found  for iphones?

Otherwise I will be off to another network too!

Hi! Hope you are well. Unfortunately I dont have an an android phone and never had a Google Pixel but as far as I know the model you have is dual Sim capable so you can have a physical Sim and an Esim at the same time. Have a look to see if you can play this youtube video this might help to overwrite the settings and add on your phone number. Let me know how you are getting on if it doesnt work I keep digging. Good luck.

I have also found some threads online from people with Google phones having a similar issue, one poster said that after doing a reset it was working. These were the steps:

Reset your network settings.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap System Advanced. Reset options.
  3. Tap Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

Hope this will work!

This is from Google-s website.

Pixel:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap the Magnifying glass.
  3. Enter volte.
  4. Tap VoLTE Calls Menu.
    • If there’s no menu option, the device either doesn’t support VoLTE or VoLTE is defaulted to "On," which is the default for most new devices.
  5. Turn on VoLTE Call

I think on your screenshots it says 4g only and not Volte? Maybe I am talking rubbish worth a try.

Thank you so much! I will look at that video, I did try the iD chat function (asked to speak toa person and got put through to someone) today and was told that the 3a is not on the iD list, and when prompted to check last system updates it turns out my 3a no  longer gets these so I am going to get a new phone (Google 8pro). This thread has been so helpful and you have been especially helpful, I know where to come for help now which is great!

I am amused by the way the iD tech people jump into these threads when someone else has done their job for them
