Question

cant make / receive calls and no mobile data

Have recently switched to ID and must say I'm not impressed with being unable to make/receive calls and get online at home unless connected to WiFi.

Had a replacement sim sent out today , but still having the same issue.

Even when I'm away from home it's hit and miss if I can call/browser.

Has anyone else had same issues?

It's a bit frustrating 😑

Hi @Bob1410

Thank you for getting in touch and apologies for the day.

We are very sorry to hear of the issues you have experienced with the service.

With a new SIM, we would recommend allowing a 24 hour monitoring period following the switch. How have things been since your last post?

If you are happy to provide an example postcode of where you experience issues and your device make/model, we can also run some checks on our side?

Thanks,

Nat

Hi there Bob.

This is highly likely due to 3G being turned off in the LE12 area and if you want to you could pop your full postcode in both of these

https://www.three.co.uk/content/experience-fragments/threedigital/uk/en/site/mvno/network-status-checker/idmobile.html (this one shows known issues on the 3UK network (iD use their infrastructure))

And this one https://www.three.co.uk/content/experience-fragments/threedigital/uk/en/site/mvno/coverage-checker/idmobile.html (it defaults to 4G, but check 3G and 5G)

You may find that 3G has gone and 5G isn’t there yet and thus every man and his dog is connecting to 4G thus causing congestion. Another cause for the voice side of things would likely be caused by not setting the phone to 4G and more importantly VoLTE

I have raised a formal complaint due to this problem which is still ongoing.

I've never experienced such a bad network coverage as this and hopefully will be available to cancel contract
