Since starting a new contract with an iPhone 15 with ID Mobile, I have never been able to send a standard text message. They always fail saying ’Not delivered’.
I tried the steps in another post I found here (detailed below) but they dont work for me - I could never get my old temporary number (that I got before I ported my number across) to update to my existing one. Despite following the steps, and pressing save, etc, the old temporary number remains.
Can you help please?

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”
