Claiming a refer a friend reward

I just don’t get it!  It really shouldn’t be this difficult!

Just received an email from iD Mobile congratulating me as the friend I referred has joined iD mobile and paid their second bill.  Excellent, except that there’s a large blue button on the email labelled “Claim your reward”.

Why?  Why do I need to do this when iD Mobile have all the information they need?  Why do they want to make it so difficult?  I guess that’s an easy question, as they don’t actually want people to get their rewards, so this step potentially stops people in their tracks, especially when it doesn’t work!

Clicking on “Claim your reward” simply takes me to the iD mobile “Friends with benefits” web page telling me that if I refer someone I’ll get a reward.  I know, i’ve done it, but I still haven’t got the reward, so why am I being navigated to this screen?

There’s another blue button “Get started”.  I assume this relates to refering a friend, or am I supposed to click this button to claim my reward?

It’s all so confusing iD mobile, and it really doesn’t need to be!

I would appreciate some advice on how I actually go about getting my refer a friend reward from iD mobile, without going round in circles.

It looks like I’m not the only one having this issue as others have also complained about going round in circles.  Sort it out iD mobile!

… and now I can’t submit this question without selecting a subject or is it a Category - make your mind up iD mobile!  There is no relevant subject/category for getting refer a friend help!!!!!!

Hi Tom, don’t worry about it, after trying a few more times I noticed a piece of blue text on the “Friends with benefits!” web page, below the obvious “Get started” button.

The text says “Referred a friend before 23/04/2024?”.  It’s not obvious it is a link until hovering over it and after clicking on that link I was then able to claim the reward.

Yet more obfuscation from ID mobile, making it more difficult than it needs to be to claim a reward?  Still, got there in the end, despite the hurdles I had to jump through.

Of course it could just be that ID mobile have a terrible web design team!


I referred two friends, still zero rewards 🤷‍♂️ I will persevere but will not be recommending any further friends until I receive a benefit….what’s the point?

Rewards for recommendations should, in my view be rewarded as soon as the service is approved and activated. If a customer is good enough to recommend a friend to ID Mobile, then ID should reward them immediately. In my opinion its counter-productive otherwise, why would you bother 🤷‍♂️ as it’s often yourself who has to assist them moving across.

If you can send me the email to claim my reward, otherwise don’t keep emailing asking if you have resolved my problem…I’ve not recommended anyone else until I receive the reward I was promised.

I recommend and connected 2 friends in July 2024, you have been told this several times 🤷both connected with 12&24 month contracts and migrated their numbers. I will not move anyone  else over to ID Mobile , not because I don’t rate your service, but because you promised a reward and have since made it impossible to claim the reward, therefore quite a misleading incentive. 


And the links to claim a reward do not work, they just take you to a place to recommend friends!
