I have just signed up for a sim only deal but am not sure the previous contract is cancelled. How can I check?

It can sometimes take a while before the iD systems reflect any changes in the iD app and “My iD Account” online services, @Richard Harrington

If you were on a 24-month minimum term handset contract and have just changed/upgraded this today (for a SIM only plan), it may be a day or two before this appears online.

Have you tried using the SIM from the previous contract in a handset to see if you can call/text/use mobile data, @Richard Harrington

Thanks Ande, I am using the original handset, which is still working. I opted to convert to sim only this morning, however I think I may have signed a separate contract for a sim that will have a new number associated and simply add to my bill, rather than replace overwrite the old contract. Online account and Customer Services options seem a bit limited to check this, hoping I can get some guidance here. Hope makes sense!

Hi @Richard Harrington 

 

You’ll know if you’ve purchased a new line instead of an upgrade if you get a new number, had to take a credit check, or it doesn’t say upgrade anywhere.
