Currys Vouchers not valid

Hi,

 

My wife and I signed up to ID and got Currys vouchers as part of the deal. They came with the sim card but when we try to use them they say they are not valid. We have tried looking on the online voucher checker and that also says they are not valid cards. I have contacted the support and they said someone would email me but no one has yet. I have seen this issue from others and wanted to know how it was resolved?

You might have noticed, just about every topic is ‘iD mobile haven’t paid me my voucher’.

No I have vouchers but they aren't valid/registered yet

Ah wow. Sounds like the few that did receive their vouchers were given invalid ones. iD are developing quite the reputation for themselves.

Yeah - this is the recurring theme:

  1. Somewhere down the line you ‘think’ you have a valid voucher
  2. There then follows the moment at which there is no voucher, or no way to redeem it.

The support is disingenuous. It’s designed to send people ‘round in circles … as if people wouldn’t notice within about 5 seconds.

Unfortunately there has been a delay in these vouchers due to the influx of them needing to be sent out, please keep an eye on your email as these vouchers should be sent out by 08/01/23, please let us know if you haven’t received the voucher by then.

We are also aware of vouchers being sent with no balance and this is a separate issue being looked into.

LOL this is beyond a joke and embarrasing now. The offer was very misleading in the first place...Then we are all told a specific date, the voucher doesn't materialise, eveyone is being told different things with no clear info, we are told the voucher "should" be received by the 8th Jan, and now it turns out they did send some vouchers out but with zero balance, which is a whole other issue in itself...wtf is this 😂

Absolute scumbagery at it's finest! I regret moving across to ID so much, never again. There is categorically no way this has all been a random "error" and this was a tactical move. You're probably hoping half the people give up trying, and then the other half will receive it a few weeks down the line conveniently after the sales end.

There’s no facility set for these vouchers is there - if there was, issues wouldn’t have to get ‘escalated’, and dates wouldn’t ‘need to be put back’.

 

I’ve not come across this level of disingenuous behaviour from a company in a long time - it’s pretty scandalous.

There are multiple Gift Card promotions running.

There are the Pixel 7 £100.00 vouchers which you and others have not received.

There’s the Refer a Friend Voucher which follows a claims process which applies to @Henry Jones’s situation

Then there’s Gift Cards that were sent with eligible plans on certain handsets. Some of these were sent with £0.00 balance by the Promotion Team which is a separate issue for a separate promotion alltogether.

@Mohammed have you seriously commented to correct me to get one up? You do realise that you've just highlighted pretty much all of your promotions involving vouchers have all had in some way something wrong with them? No voucher received, invalid vouchers, incorrect amounts etc. 

"There are multiple gift card promotions running" - oh you're right buddy, and each and every single one of them are all messed up 🤡 

If the company doesn't have the infastructure to fulfill promotions involving gift cards, then quite simply DON'T OFFER THE PROMOTION

@Mohammed you've been sarcastic and passive aggressive in quite a few other posts too to both myself and other customers trying to be clever, so yes you were trying to get one up.

 

Case in point exactly, you didn't have to respond to my comment but you did anyway to try and correct yourself so you don't look foolish...bit late.

Sensitive you aren't you @Powerhous ?

 

Love giving it the big one, but the moment anyone sends as much as a reply that doesn't whipe your runny little nose and pat you on the head you get all upset and lash out. Easy to talk down to people who are being paid specifically to have to endure the awful manner you're speaking to them. 

I hope your voucher arrives soon, so you can buy some earbuds. Remeber, that's the reason you've chosen to be so rude to actual people that are just at trying to help.
