I have just travelled to France.  I had to get a new phone before travelling and didnt realise data roaming was turned off.  I've now had a mesaage saying as it wasnt turned off at home I can not use it and cannot switch it on.  Is there anyway around this as I really need data for banking, tickets and travel info.

You should be able to enable data roaming via both your phone’s own settings, and also via the iD Mobile app/website.

 

Is data roaming via your phone’s own settings grayed out at all?

Thank you - yes, its greyed out so I cant switch it on.  I tried to get on the live chat but it wont appear on my phone!! I read the advice about pop ups etc. But just cannt get it to work!

Hi @Jelly bean,

Are you able to test the SIM in another handset and see if that works?

It may be worth resetting your network settings and trying again.
