data roaming in Germany not working

I've tried it earlier today already but there was no option to reply.

I'm in Germany just now. With id mobile I get only 2g (no data) when I use o2.de. when I use an EE Sim on the same phone at the same place I get full 4g. I have done everything that was suggested already like turning off the phone for 10 minutes, selecting one manually, data and roaming is enabled on the phone. I have also turned the roaming and international service off and back on in my account. I really think there is a problem somewhere and I would reconsider staying with id mobile if that isn't going to be fixed. The only reason I'm with them is the free data roaming. If that doesn't work I will change to someone else.

Hello @beanzl,

Sounds like EE have a better signal at your location. Does your phone manually accept iD’s other roaming partner, Telekom?

You could try the trick of deleting all current APN settings, then adding a fresh new APN setting as follows:

Name: iD
APN: id
Username: <leave blank>
Password:	<leave blank>

MMSC: http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy: mms.idmobile.co.uk
MMS APN Username: <leave blank>
MMS APN Password: <leave blank>
MMS Port: 8799

* anything with <leave blank> should be left blank

After adding the above, try these steps next:

  1. Turn off your phone
  2. Remove the iD SIM card
  3. Wait 10 minutes
  4. Re-insert the SIM and turn ON your phone

This full APN reset should allow the phone and network to pick up any changes.
