Whilst I was sleeping and my phone was off my account dropped by 10gb. Why would that happen?

Hi @Karen B

Okay, my best recommendation would be to turn mobile data off when you don’t wish to use it.

Your device may have an inbuilt data tracker to see what’s been used the most recently.

Statistics are not a live snapshot of how much you’ve used and can take few hours to update.

Thanks for the reply. I was just confused because it was a brand new sim card which went live just before we went to bed and the phone was switched off during that time. 10GB is a lot to lose over night I was just confused as to why?

Hi @Karen B

As @WelshPaul suggests the app/website doesn’t track data usage quite live, it’ll update every so often.

10GB can however be used overnight should the device be on data and be performing back ups, downloading updates, playing video etc, it would be a lot but it isn’t impossible.

I would agree but the phone was switched off. Powered down completely.

Hey @Karen B, did your phone update during the night at all without you knowing whilst you were asleep, and then powered back down once the update was done?

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks for responding Tom. No update was done and the phone was connected to the WiFi.  That's why I'm so confused.
