Disappointing Constant buffering Volvo spotify

I’ve recently swapped from Samsung on 3 to iPhone on ID and Spotify on my Volvo is constantly buffering to the extent I no longer use it. Didn’t have any issues before with 3 so it’s not network  coverage related , must be an ID issue. Deleted and reinstalled the app, deleted account and reinstalled but no luck. Very disappointed. ID mobile please sort it.

Is it  buffering or a problem with bluetooth?

I say that because using an android device I was having no problems connecting to my car but Iphone  will disconnect and connect at will. Pressing the button on the dash to refresh bluetooth generally works.

Seems to be a known issue with Iphones.

Hi @GEW, welcome to the community.

Are you having an issue with data usage in general with slow speeds, buffering etc, or are you having a problem using Spotify in particular?

Is the issue isolated to a specific post code, or is it everywhere you go?

Do you also have problems with texts/calls?

Hi,

I do have issues with slightly slower  speed data as a whole, but my main issue is Spotify through my Volvo car. It is everywhere I go and not postcode specific. I get 3 seconds of music, then 30 odd seconds of buffering.
I have no issues with texts or calls.

Hi @GEW

Okay, there wouldn’t be anything on our side specifically slowing down Spotify for a Volvo, how is Spotify on your device itself?

If the issue is just with Spotify in the car, it may be worth speaking to Spotify directly to see if they have any troubleshooting suggestions for lower speeds on their app.
