E-Sim help please

Good Afternoon,

I have just purchased a new S25 ultra online with id mobile contract, which came with an e-sim.

I currently have an id mobile contract but it's now out of contract. I want to keep my number which I'm aware I have to port to a different provider and then back to id mobile.

My question is, I have no idea about e-sims and how they work. Can I put my current physical SIM card in the new phone and use it until my number has ported to my new id mobile contract? Do I then activate the e-sim?  I was worried if I activate the e-sim first on the new phone it would stop me using the physical SIM?;?

Sorry It probably sounds a bit confusing....

Hi @Faithfull

Yes, you can use your existing physical SIM card until your number has been ported over to the eSIM.
