E-Sim thread help

Good evening,

Earlier on I posted a question about help with an e-sim and a physical SIM on a new phone.

I got an email saying @Anika had replied to me but every time I click the link in my email to view said message I get a technical error. I also can't find the thread I posted.

Any help? I did try and pm @Anika but I'm not allowed too 🙄

Hey there @Faithfull, thank you for reaching out and our apologies for that. What was the question you asked previously, and we’ll help as best as possible here?

Thanks,

Tyler

Morning @Tyler, appreciate the response.

Basically I am currently with ID mobile but out of contract. I have purchased a new phone/contract elsewhere (but again with ID).

I want to keep my number , I know the procedure for keeping my current number (port to a PAYG SIM of another provider and then to my new id mobile contract/SIM)

My question is, the new phone came with an e-sim and I don't know how they work, can I use my current physical SIM in my new phone or will that prevent me using the new e-sim?  Can I put my physical SIM in the new phone and load my new e-sim whilst the number is ported?

I just don't want to mess up the new e-sim as I don't k ow how they work.

Thank you for your reply @Faithfull

Is your handset dual SIM compatible?

Hi @Faithfull

You can use your existing physical SIM card in the device, once the number has been ported across to us, you can then activate and switch to your eSIM.
