error with plan

Hi,

I changed my plan to a cheaper plan and online it says £45.99 but I have just been sent an email saying I’m going to be charged £53.04? 
this is not right, and unfair for you to charge me a higher amount when I changed my plan to go lower. Please advise

Hi ​@Lauren Slade  sorry for any confusion. This will be because you have changed your plan mid billing period, so your bill will be pro-rata.

I hope the link kindly shared by ​@WelshPaul  helps to explain this?
