Can you help please. I am going to America next month and was wondering if I could use another simcard in my phone in slot 2 from another carrier? Or can I use an esim. Everything seems to be saying phone needs to be unlocked. I have a pixel pro 7 been with you since April.

Your Pixel handset should be unlocked @Darrenb.
Mobile operators aren’t allowed to sell network locked handsets nowadays - OFCOM stopped this in Dec 2021.

On my trip to the USA in Jan 2023, I used a data only eSIM beside my nano-SIM card.
This setup worked well for me.

Okay @Darrenb, I’ve never had a handset contract with iD.
Their contract terms don’t seem to prohibit the use of a second SIM, alongside an iD SIM, in a dual SIM handset.

Hi @Darrenb

If you’ve got a Pixel 7 Pro it definitely won’t be locked to iD Mobile, you’ll be able to insert a SIM card from another network inside it, the device itself does support eSIMs, however note as we don’t support eSIMs as a network this would be with another network, not ourselves.
