Do I need to inform ID if I’m going to use a third party eSIM when I travel to the United States

No not at all. I would suggest setting a £0 spend cap on your iD account to stop any unexpected charges tho.

No, that’s not necessary, ​@AliG246

Assuming the phone with your iD SIM / eSIM is network unlocked, you’re free to use third party SIM / eSIM products.
