Eu roaming text

Hi I’m on holiday in canaries islands and checked on the ID website which says roaming is from my allowance upto 30gb. But I’ve had a text the day I landed saying all calls, text and data are chargeable. Does that mean I’m being charged to use my phone or is it coming out of my plan?? I’m really confused

You can use your plan allowances in the Canary Islands, @Kazza77.

To avoid any out-of-plan charges, just set your iD account bill cap to £0.

Hi @Kazza77

As long as you’re connected to our roaming partner in the Canary Islands (in this case, Yoigo and Movistar) you won’t be charged extra for usage within your allowance.

In any case, if you wish to avoid any extra charges ever happening, a £0 bill cap will help.

I am currently on holiday in Rhodes and have had no issues with my phone until I went on a trip to Symi which is still in Greece but received a text saying “looks like you are outside of the EU roaming “ then I also received a text saying “you have used 80% of you Capped amount” I have no idea why I would have received these text and used any of my Cap while still in Greece

Hi @Baglin

It sounds like you may have connected to a satellite network while on a boat, I’d recommend checking the following;
