what are all the free numbers eg 0800, 0345 etc

    Okay ​@Margaret Dent, usually these are UK standard landline or mobile numbers or services starting with 01, 02 and 03 (excluding calls to the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands), and any other numbers that iD Mobile state are eligible.

    Out-of-plan charges are covered here.

    A number being chargeable would depend completely on the number itself, unfortunately we wouldn’t have a full list of ones that do/do not charge.
