Go sim only with different phone

I am out of contract on 31.5.25. I am able to upgrade now with id mobile but I have been given a new phone by a family member so would like to go sim only with id mobile. When can I do this and what should I do? I want to keep the same mobile number. Thanks

Once your contracted term ends, you’ll be able to upgrade to a SIM only plan, these will be available in the app once eligible.
