Having Issues With Signal when on 4g

I’ve been with ID for about 6 months or so now and overall it’s been great but I’m having 2 issues that are really annoying!

1, when I’m on 4g (which is more often than I thought it would be), I might as well have no signal at all. Nothing loads, can’t make calls etc - it’s a pain.

2, when I watch live video (SkySports for example) when conected to WiFi it works perfectly, if I try to do it just using my phones signal, even if I have full 5g, it plays for about 1 or 2 seconds and just freezes.

Anything I can do to fix these?

This is on a Google Pixel 10 Pro.

Hi @JamieC87

Thank you for reaching out.

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues and understand how frustrating it must be, particularly when you're trying to browse the internet or stream live content.

To help resolve this, please try the following troubleshooting steps on your Google Pixel 10 Pro:

  • Restart your handset.
  • Turn Airplane Mode on for around 60 seconds, then switch it back off.
  • Ensure your handset is running the latest version of Android:
    • Settings > System > Software update.
  • Remove and reinsert your SIM card (if applicable).
  • Reset your mobile network connection:
    • Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > Toggle the SIM off and back on.
  • Set your preferred network to 4G/LTE and test the service:
    • Open Settings.
    • Tap Network & Internet.
    • Select SIMs.
    • Tap Preferred network type.
    • Select 4G/LTE.
  • If you're already using 4G, switch back to 5G (Auto) after testing to compare the performance.
  • Reset your network settings:
    • Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Mobile Network Settings.
  • Test your SIM in another compatible handset, if possible, to determine whether the issue is handset related.

Regarding the live streaming issue, this can sometimes be caused by the handset switching between 4G and 5G, network congestion, or the streaming application itself. After completing the steps above, please try:

  • Closing all background applications before streaming.
  • Clearing the cache for the streaming app:
    • Settings > Apps > Select the app > Storage & Cache > Clear Cache.
  • Testing the stream in another location to rule out local congestion.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please contact via Live Chat or send direct message via our social media platforms.
