Help required re phone calls: signal dropping and consistent echo

I transferred to ID in December.  Since then there has been a consistent echo on the line.  Either I can hear an echo of myself speaking or ther person I am speaking to is getting an echo at their end.  Also, regularly getting cut off from calls.  Desperately needing help as I need the phone to keep in touch with vulnerable relatives! Can anyone assist?

Coverage in my area is meant to be fine.

We are sorry to hear this. Have you tested the sim in another phone? We would like you to do this so we can eliminate if this is a fault on your phone?
