help swaping number

my mum has previously had an id mobile contract that has ran out, so is now just paying monthly for the sim (with ID). For christmas i have bought her a new phone &contract through id again not realising it would come with a new number that cant just be switched with the pac code as it is the same network. 

 

Is there an easy way of just keeping her old number with her new phone? Cant ID just switch it over?

The iD advisers work until 8pm on weekdays - for a customer adviser, just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”.

Highly frustrated with how hard ID mobile has been to use. There has been a problem at every step.

Hi ​@Shonamarkey 

 

Unfortunately it isn’t possible to transfer a number from iD Mobile to iD Mobile, in that case you’d need to make an upgrade, not a new line, had an upgrade been done, the number would be retained.

 

It may be worth exploring to the option of a triangle port.

Hi Tom, i have tried to triange port the number but ID keeps coming up with errors now everything else is done. 

 

I have got my pac from giffgaff, checked all other information is correct but it keeps telling me there is an error.

Maybe best to contact an iD customer adviser online, ​@Shonamarkey

One of the adviser’s should be able to process the PAC from giffgaff, for the number you’re keeping - the iD advisers work until 8pm on weekdays.
