how to activate sim as im unsure and found no clear help

I used a pac to keep my old number and it has been switched today , how do I activate the sim as it’s showing no service all the time and won’t let me use data , and I have tried to log into the ID mobile app but everytime it try’s to send me a message or email they don’t come through at all , I have tried over the past couple of days , and now I’m u sure what to do , can I go to my local curry’s and would they be able to help ?

On the day your number switches over using a PAC code, it's normal to experience a temporary loss of service while the transfer completes. During this time, you may be unable to make or receive calls, send texts, use mobile data, or access the iD Mobile app, as verification codes may not be delivered until the transfer has fully completed.

Please restart your handset and allow some additional time for the service to register on the network.
