I have a sim only for a remote router (not in my location).

I have downloaded the app and started to register, however I get stuck when i get asked to verify code text to my number. I can not access the sim as it is hundreds of miles away. How else can I complete the app setup?

Hey there @Mr Lee, the only way to view usage would be to check via the iD Mobile app/website, or your devices own settings if it supports that.

Or, by contacting us to check your usage (we can only view the past 30-days).

Thanks,

Tyler

Hello @Mr Lee

Thanks for getting in touch.

I am afraid the set up would not be possible without the confirmation code sent to the SIM.

The SIM would need to be inserted in to a handset in order to receive the code.

Thanks,

Nat

Is there another way of monitoring data usage?

a webpage maybe?

I’m not questioning Nat’s advice but….

iD have been beefing up their systems lately to make them more secure, but it you look at this link

one of the images states it can email you the verification code, I don’t know as my app is up and running and don’t want to mess it up but can you not request an email rather than a text?

It even mentions emailing you here too

  1. Open the iD Mobile app or My Account Online.
  2. Tap 'Get started'.
  3. Enter the email address you'd like to use to register for the iD Mobile app. Tap 'Next'.
  4. Tap 'Continue'.
  5. Enter your first name & last name. Set a password for the iD Mobile app. Tap 'Create'.
  6. You'll receive an email with a 6-digit code. Enter the 6-digit code into the iD Mobile app.
  7. You can enable biometrics to log-in to the iD Mobile app – just tap 'Enable Face ID'.
  8. You can enable notifications from the iD Mobile app – just tap 'Enable notifications'.
  9. Boom – you've registered!
