How to upgrade to eSiM iPhone 16e

Hi 

I have changed from an iPhone XR with SIM to a iPhone 16e eSIM. All apps and photos have synched OK. However email and SMS aren’t working. How do I update when I can’t get anywhere with the chatbot and can’t find a telephone number to speak to a real person at iD Mobile?

Have you checked the iMessage/FaceTime settings?

Just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person”, ​@Gordon Machray.

There isn’t a telephone support helpline at iD Mobile - the customer help & support is online only.

Have you checked the mobile number in Settings > Apps > Phone > My Number is correct, ​@Mr G Machray work

In addition, maybe check Apple don’t ‘think’ your mobile number is still linked to your ‘old’ iPhone XR device.

FaceTime not an iD network service, it’s a proprietary service for Apple devices, which requires a network connection to work (a mobile data network or Wi-Fi network connection).

Please could you check if the number is showing correct on your device settings and iMessage settings? 

 

Are you able to send an iMessage, normal texts or neither?
