i need to add date to use phone abroad but live chat not connecting me to anyone and i cant receive the mobile code or call 7777 due to data cap!


In the US on holiday and data cap immediately reached. Now unable to call 7777 to top up or change data cap, live chat isn’t connecting me to anyone despite being in hours just goes through the motions then never connects me to anyone and when I try to add data my app and id mobile.com want to send me a code to my phone which I can’t receive because of the breaches data cap.

 

What a terrible system. I will be leaving ID after this. Wasted over an hour of my holiday already and lost my paid for airport taxi transfer. Maddening! 


can I call id mobile from someone else’s mobile to top up? Is there a way out of this loop!

It appears that Live Chat was down recently but should now be working again if you wish to give it another try!

Once you have opened a Live Chat, type ‘talk to a person’ in the dialogue box so that you don’t go round in circles with the inane chatbot questions.
Also, make sure you have time put aside to do this as the agents connect to several chats at any one time and so you may have to wait for the chat to connect and also when getting replies.

In terms of changing your bill cap, you should be able to login to the iD Mobile app/website to do so.
