Is my SIM about to be blocked?

Hello,

I just got a call informing me my sim would be blocked in 2 days. Should I be concerned?

The woman said they would send a new sim and started asking for my email address but I was out in public and didn’t want to give it. I said I would call when I got home. However, I cannot find a number for iD mobile.

I have reported this call on

Can anyone confirm this a scam or is my sim going to be blocked?

Sounds like a scam, @Do4Not7raM1simon. iD Mobile don’t have a telephone support helpline.

You can reach iD customer service via their online Live Chat service, or send them a private message using Facebook Messenger.

The iD advisers work until 8pm on weekdays (6pm at weekends).

Hi @Do4Not7raM1simon

That doesn’t sound like us, was a reason given for blocking the SIM?

It may be best to block that number.

Tom

Thanks Ande and Tom.

I assumed it was a scam as they kept mentioning O2. I was in a busy waiting room so I couldn’t have a proper conversation with them.

That number has been blocked and reported by text.

Hi @Do4Not7raM1simon

Definitely sounds like a scam, I’m not sure why we’d ever really mention O2, glad to hear it’s been blocked and reported.
