Issues with Mobile data and phone calls/texts

I have been with ID for over a year and everything was going smoothly up until now. For the past 3 weeks I have been experiencing a lot of issues with mobile data and making phone calls or sending texts. There recently was some work going on on the radio tower nearby so it was understandable but now they have finished working on it, yet the problem still persists. Majority of the time I'm unable to even search anything online nevermind any other usage. Has anyone else been experiencing this or does anyone know what causes the issue ? (Doncaster, DN3 area)

@kazik101  You best bet if to check the full postal code on IDMobile or network 3 network status to see if any works or issues are on going.

Some areas my areas include many communication mast were taken out of commission, so there many factors and you may not know until a lot more customers in said location complain about the problem.

Hi @kazik101

I’m sorry to hear this, please could you let us know the full postcode you’ve been having issues/around?

If you go far away from this area, how is signal?

DN3 3DZ. When I went to other cities it actually was a lot better so my best bet is that it actually is some works on nearby mast. But if so it's a bit frustrating that they officially did finish working on it

I am afraid there are no works reported in that area at the moment @kazik101

Does a reboot help?

Do you have Wi-Fi calling enabled?

Yes, I have WiFi calling enabled. My main issue is the Data as I am paying for unlimited package due to heavily relying on it and I would expect it to be at the very least usable for most simple things such as Google searches and not have constant issues when it works for a minute then for next 5-10 minutes it cannot load anything at all such as the above mentioned Google search.

Hey @kazik101, sorry to hear that. When at home, are you connected to 4G or 5G when having the issue please?

Thanks,

Tyler

And Rebooting the device (nor turning of and on nor the restarting) doesn't help at all. I have tried everything and made all the checks that issue isn't within the device itself. Also visually inspected the sim card to make sure the pins are in good condition and there isn't any dust causing issues with them connecting properly.

I have similar connectivity issues. Absolutely rubbish coverage in my village near Grantham. Only get 5G in built up areas. Only get 3G at times, and I thought that was being shut down. Can’t wait for mine and my wife’s contracts to end. Worst decision ever to choose ID mobile. You live and learn

The thing is the coverage in my area SHOULD actually be fine according to their website. However, regardless of where I am within Doncaster it's the same thing. And then in some cities it's fine in other's it's just as useless. I thought this could be related to recent works they carried out on the mast nearby but as their response is just "there are no issues reported in your area" which isn't of much help. Is there any actual support that will help me other than calling them directly ?

Hi @kazik101

Have you tried switching from 5G to 4G/LTE manually? The area looks like it could be fairly weak/patchy for 5G.

Hi @Karl Ballaam

I see we were discussing this with you in another post, if you’re still having issues, we’d recommend continuing there.

Hi @kazik101

Tom

So I tested 4gLTE for a whole week, it's just as unstable as the 5g. I genuinly have no clue on what else to do as nothing works and I think I have tried everything at this point. Now I genuinly just can't wait for the contract to end so I don't have to pay for unlimited package that doesn't even work more than half the time.

Also I do wanna clarify, everything (whether it's 4g or 5g) has worked perfectly until the point they started carrying out work on the nearby mast. Only during and after that, the mobile data actually became unstable.
