itemised call, text and data usage im app

Why can we not see our usage in the app? Other providers show all the calls, text and data usage within the app including the current day. Can this not be implemented??. I currently have my children with 1p mobile  and I can see what number was called or text today  and the past either daily itemised or monthly summaries, what if any charges and what data was used and if charged. This helps keep REAL time  eye on spend and how much you are over the free data.

    Hi @Chris Joannou,

    Welcome to the Community!

The app provides information regarding your allowances and the remaining amount.

We will certainly take the feedback onboard and hopefully it’s something that can be implemented in the future.

On most new smartphones you can check your data usage for a specific period via the data settings.

Hey there @Lizb, is that via the GiffGaff app, or the iPhone’s own settings?

    Thanks,

    Tyler

don’t know which it is. If Giff Gaff can do this why doesn’t ID?

Hey there @Lizb, if it’s in the app, then that’ll be a GiffGaff feature we don’t offer I’m afraid. All networks are different and offer different features, but we’ll take your feedback onboard.

    Thanks,

    Tyler

I have three contracts with ID, one is my own, and the other two are for my teenage children.

It is really disappointing to see that this feature has still not been implemented by ID, considering it has been at least a year since this was first posted!

As a parent, I would like the ability to see information regarding what phone calls are being made, when and to whom, preferably without having to wait until the next bill is published.

For context, my teen (with ADHD) has been making late night calls which I identified on my most recent bill - we have dealt with this and talked it through with them but I now have to wait a whole month to see whether our chat has actually made any difference!

Surely this must be an easy thing for ID to implement? All providers I have been with over the last 20 years have offered this (whether in the app or via their website) and it is frustrating that ID are still dragging their heels with such a simple request!

    Hi @DawnieGee,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for explaining the context, especially as a parent trying to guide responsible phone use with your teenager. Situations like the one you’ve described can certainly make it more important to have visibility of account activity, and it’s completely understandable why you’d want to review that information sooner rather than waiting for the monthly bill.

At present, detailed call records are only made available once the billing cycle has completed and the statement has been produced. While that means they aren’t visible in real time, the suggestion you’ve raised is a valid one and it’s clear how it could be helpful for parents and account holders managing multiple lines.

Ideas and feature requests shared here in the Community are regularly reviewed and passed along to the relevant teams for consideration. Feedback that includes practical use cases, such as managing family accounts,

is particularly valuable when improvements are being evaluated.

We do appreciate you raising the suggestion and explaining how it would help in your situation. Conversations like this help ensure that customer needs and real-world scenarios continue to be represented as the service evolves.

    Regards,
