Will my existing 30 day SIM plan be updated automatically, or do I have to cancel that ?

There was NO tab to say it is the same phone, number and payment source.

Thanks for any clarification

Sounds like you’ve purchased a new connection to the iD network via MSE, @DaveN

Unless you’ve followd the official iD upgrade process, you’ll have x2 iD contracts.

Thanks for your comment - appreciated.

So I presume I have to run with both, but when the “new” connection becomes active, I cancel the 30 day one - will that work out ? Presume the two connections will have differing account numbers, so I can select the correct one to delete / cancel.

Okay @DaveN, when the iD SIM for your new 12-month minimum term iD SIM-only plan arrives, it should be safe to give the 30-days notice for your ‘old’ 1-month rolling SIM plan - assuming you don’t want to keep the mobile number.

Thanks,

That sounds about right. As I didn’t upgrade the existing 30 day SIM plan, but opened a 2nd plan (12 mth SIM) it has the same telephone number - so when I cancel the old plan I hope the telephone number remains on the new plan ! I’ll clarify further on Monday when I hope to talk to an ID operative on the 0207 telephone number.

Hey there @DaveN, as kindly advised by @andewhite, you will currently have two active plans.

For your old plan to automatically cancel, you’d need to upgrade via the iD Mobile app/website when logged in.

If you’ve ordered a new plan, and happy to lose your old number, you can simply request a 30-day disconnection with us, via the app/website, or via contacting us.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi,

I’m in the same position as DaveN. Just to clarify, there is no way to transfer my existing mobile number from my contract with ID mobile to my new Sim-only contract with ID mobile?

Thanks

Joeledge

No you would have to port to another network PAYG and then port back again.

Hi @joeledge

No, there is no way to directly transfer from one iD Mobile plan to another iD Mobile plan.

A PAC code must come from another network.
