Hi Slakes123
If you have an iPhone, can you check that the number recorded in "Settings > Phone" as a mistake here can sometimes cause this problem.

Hi, I have the same problem with my text messages - only it happens to me with all of my numbers except one! I've checked the phone number in 'settings' on my iPhone and that is correct, so I can't understand what's happening

Hello @Oceandream57

The the following:

1) Try turning off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and change the number to a different number.
4) Restart then change the number back to the correct number that's active
5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

Let us know how you get on.

Mohammed

@Jan Thompson,

Are you using an iPhone?

Can I ask if you have tried resetting your network settings then trying again?

Kash

yes it’s an IPhone 13.

I have sorted the problem thank you,

you did help to a point.

I then restarted my phone and it changed the number in settings.

Regards Jan.
