I am constantly missing calls due to lack of connectivity with ID system.
I have no number recorded on my recent calls although people say they tried to call.
I also try to make calls and the phone won’t connect.
If I turn off WiFi it works sometimes but I have no knowledge of missed calls unless someone tells me.
what is going on?
Does anyone else have this?

Hi @VixR

What phone do you have?

Have you checked the coverage for your area?
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage

Are you still able to use your data and send/receive texts?

IS VoLTE enable on your handset?

Any and all information will aid in getting you the right help for your situation.

Yes it’s not coverage although it’s rubbish.

what is volte enable?

I’ve done everything to get this to work. I have to turn off WiFi to make or receive calls sometimes. Although if a person calls me I have no idea - no missed calls or record.

it’s an iPhone 16 pro

Hey there @VixR, we’re sorry to hear that. What’s your full postcode please?

Also, when you go into phone settings, does your phone number show correctly?

Thanks,

Tyler

Yes I’ve followed all instructions and reset everything more than once. It’s just rubbish. I’ve known others to have the same issue. It makes no sense.
the area coverage is fine.

Hi @VixR  what we can do is pop you a private message so we can get this escalated with our Technical Team.

We look forward to your reply.

@VixR as your phone is on the approved list for use with iD Mobile VoLTE /4G network it should work as needed.

To check if VoLTe is enabled on your handest:-
To activate VoLTE on an iPhone 16 Pro, navigate to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Voice & Data, and then enable the VoLTE option. If you don't see a VoLTE option, it's likely already enabled by default on iPhones that support VoLTE, or your network provider might not offer the functionality.

Even though your see ‘4G’ that is only a label given to the 4th Generation network, whereas VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is the actual ‘type’ of network connection being used and so you have to have this enabled on your handset for it to connect and to be able to make/receive calls (although you can still use your data and send/receive texts).

Hope this helps! Good luck x
