mobile deals

Why is it cheaper to cancel a current plan and swap to another instead of upgrading?

Maybe new customers are more ‘valuable’ to iD than existing customers, @Pedro87.

The other service providers seem to work the same way.

@Pedro87  As pointed out by @andewhite most service providers have better deals for new customers. But all the providers I've been with, I've always managed to get a better deal for a new plan. There's a little unknown secret called the Retention team by talking to this department of your provider they can always cut you a better deal. Having said that I don't know how IDMobile conducts it's business with their customers.

It's a shame as most IDMobile customers are happy with the service they have signed up for.

So what's the incentive to stay then. Seems like you will just have a worse deal than when you started after paying them for 2 years. Makes no sense. You would think you would want to keep the coustmers you have.

Yes @Pedro87, doesn’t seem to make any sense, but they (iD Mobile) operate like this anyway.

Just to say, myself and @JoeKing are just forum members here in this online public forum, like yourself.
