My wife has a SIM only monthly contract..can she keep her number if she buys a contract phone ?

Hi @Kevin Mcnamara, welcome to the community!

She’ll be able to keep an existing iD number if an upgrade is processed on the account to keep it. This can either be done by logging onto the iD app/account, or by calling our sales team on 0207 1391 397.

If she were to take out a new iD mobile contract, she wouldn’t be able to transfer the number to this directly. This is because to transfer a number, a PAC code is needed. These can only be used between different network providers.

Of course if she’s not with iD currently, she’ll be able to obtain a PAC code from her old network and submit this to us here: https://switching.idmobile.co.uk/
