Moving abroad - number will be inactive for over 1 year

Hi, 

I am moving abroad in August for a year and will need to get a SIM in that country to use a local number. I will not be using my iD Mobile SIM at all, therefore I will not be using my number for a year.

 

My contract does not run out until next summer, so I will continue paying the monthly cost. However, I was wondering: because my number will be inactive for a long period of time, could it be closed or taken of me?I have heard that other phone providers do this, and I do not want to lose my number.

 

Is this something iD Mobile might do, even though I will continue paying the monthly cost?

The number will remain assigned to your account until the account is disconnected or we receive a request to port the number out.
