My new phone wont charge

My phone was delivered last Monday and it came fully charged. Later that day, I used the new charge cable to recharge the phone iPhone 16 and it will not charge. The only way it will charge is with a battery pack attached to the back of the phone with the new cable charging the battery pack. I think the phone will be faulty. What do I do, I cant speak to an agent, so I’m hoping you can help me.
