And there we have it!

“Welcome! With iD, you can roam free in 50 destinations worldwide. Use your minutes, texts and data as you would at home (fair use policy and surcharges may apply). Keep in mind that out-of-plan rates could cost up to GBP10.24 per 100MB. For more info, visit idmobile.co.uk/roaming or dial +447482227777 free from your iD phone. Enjoy your trip!”

You CAN’T use it as you would at home and it’s far from clear as to when your so-called ‘fair use’ policy would apply. At best a misrepresentation, at worst a lie! Never use iD again.

Hi @nghudson7,

As advised roaming in EU inclusive destinations is limited to 30GB.

After this you will be charged for roaming abroad.

All the terms regarding the roaming limit will have been mentioned in your contract terms and conditions.

Unfortunately this cannot be changed and the limit remains.

No point in messaging us about this your information is misleading, unclear and unhelpful. Your replies are also unhelpful and lack even a basic level of customer care. We will be making a formal complaint.

Kash, look at the information and guidance you are giving (see above). It’s a lie to say we can use our “minutes, texts and data as you would at home”. We can’t. You won’t allow us. There is nothing “fair” about then limiting that allowance and there is nothing clear or definite about saying that a 30GB limit “may apply”. Just because you say black is white (repeatedly) does not make it so.

It’s clear that the statement “Use your minutes, texts and data as you would at home” is misleading and designed to lure potential customers. We fell for it, we won’t again, and we will both make a formal complaint and alert other would-be customers to your sharp practice.
