New but Faulty Pixel 8 Pro - Solution?

I've just moved from Three Network to Id Mobile purchased through mobiles co.uk I've upgraded from the Pixel 6 to Pixel 8 Pro. The problem I was having is that the Network Coverage is shocking. Can barely get a signal, calls cutting off continuously and I certainly can't watch anything on Social Media. I tried all the usual things, airplane mode on off, removing SIM, phone on and off etc.... on WiFi the phone works fine.

As a last resort I thought I'd try and put the SIM into my old phone. It works perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

So I'm now hotspotting from old to new, in order to use my new phone. Clearly this isn't a long term solution and I'm thinking there must a problem with the phone?

What are my rights? It says to take my phone to Currys on both id mobile and mobiles co.uk site but I'm reading stories on here where they are very unhelpful if you take it in store and won't exchange it which is what I need to happen. I don't want to be wasting a couple of hours of my day arguing with them and I don't want to be paying for a phone that I can't use. Any help please?!
