new customer. cant make receive calls galaxy a30s

Hi, I’ve tried everything to make calls with this android. I have several accounts. My iPhone is great with id but not this android.

 Please help.

We can’t guarantee our SIMs will work in every device ever made, nor can we test for most of them, we have our list of compatible devices to show the devices we’re confident will work with our SIM cards, SIMs may work in other devices outside of this list, however we couldn’t confirm they would.

It’s ok, I found out that the mobile you are using needs to be compatible with the SIM card. 
 I find this absolutely bizarre that a simple SIM card won’t work with certain phones. I thought technology had moved on? 
To save me asking this question it would be ideal if id mobile put on its site that you need a COMPATIBLE mobile phone. Wouldn’t that save a lot of problems?

Thanks for your reply Tom. 
  I must say because SIM cards have ALWAYS worked in ALL Mobil phones from the get go, I am astonished that these days many years later  SIM cards don’t work anymore?? How bizarre.  
 Unfortunately this caused me a lot of trouble and a big headache. I had 3 sim only deals and one wasn’t compatible. Trying to return and cancel that particular contract was an absolute nightmare and unfortunately id mobile didn’t cover themselves in glory.  It could and should have been so straightforward and simple, but id managed to make a mountain out of a molehill. 
Thankfully with a lot of patience from myself and many chats to agents I finally got there.
