I bought a new phone on the ID mobile network which is the same network as my old phone. I've had my old phone for ages so its off contract now. How do I transfer my old number to my new phone? Do I just take the SIM out of my old phone and use it in my new one? The direct debit for the new phone is also set up against the new number so not sure what to do about this seeing as I can't contact anyone at ID mobile by phone to actually talk to?

To move the number you want to keep from your old iD account to your new iD account, you’ll need to perform a triangle-port.
Basically this means:
- Getting a PAC for the ID mobile number you want to keep.
- Give the PAC from step 1 to another service provider, e.g. giffgaff, ASDA Mobile, etcetera.
- Wait for the switch to the new provider, chosen in step 2, to be completed.
- Get a PAC from the new PAYG service provide, for number you want to keep.
- Give PAC from step 4 to iD Mobile for the iD account you want to keep.
It’s a faff and will take several days of more to complete, but iD can’t / won’t switch a number from one iD contract to another iD contract.
