My phine was due an upgrade which I have done but I didn't upgrade it I've started a new contract because it was cheaper. I want to cancel my old contract and keep my number but unsure what to do.

Okay, it wouldn’t be possible to directly transfer your number from one iD Mobile plan to a different new one, to retain a number we’d recommend upgrading.

 

In this case, it may be best to return the new plan and instead explore upgrades on the existing plan with the number you want to keep.
