Hello,

am I able to get the same deal as my daughter?

Are you locked in to a fixed term contract?
This info details what you can/can’t do if so:-

 iD Mobile allows you to change to a new plan, even while you're still within your contract period, but there are some limitations, especially if you are trying to switch to a cheaper plan. If you're within your minimum contract length, you generally can't switch to a cheaper plan because you're still paying off your phone as part of your monthly bill. However, you can switch to a more expensive plan or upgrade to a new phone with a new contract. 

Here's a breakdown of what you can do and what to consider:

1. Changing to a more expensive plan:

  • You can upgrade to a more expensive plan or a new phone with a new contract while still within your existing contract period.
  • You can see available upgrade options by logging into the iD Mobile app or My Account. 

2. Switching to a cheaper plan (within the contract):

  • You generally cannot switch to a cheaper plan while still within your minimum contract length.
  • The reason is that your monthly payments include the cost of your phone, and you're still paying it off according to iD Mobile

3. Early Upgrades:

  • iD Mobile allows early upgrades, potentially up to 60 days before your contract ends, allowing you to get a new phone sooner.
  • You can explore upgrade deals and see if you're eligible for an early upgrade. 

4. What happens to existing add-ons and billing:

  • Any add-ons on your current plan will be moved to your new plan.
  • When upgrading mid-month, you'll receive a pro-rated credit for your old plan and a pro-rated charge for your new plan.
  • You'll also be charged a full month's rental in advance and any out-of-bundle charges from the previous month. 

5. Important points to remember:

  • If you're on a pay-as-you-go plan, you cannot change your plan during the one-month period. 
  • It's recommended to check for upgrade eligibility within the iD Mobile app or My Account. 



If not, you can find the deals available to you by doing the following:-

To find deals for existing iD Mobile customers, you should log into your iD Mobile account online or through the app and navigate to the "My Account" section, then look for "My Upgrade" or "Change my plan" options. You can also check for deals by speaking with sales or visiting a Currys store. iD Mobile also offers SIM-only deals that existing customers can switch to.

If you want the same deal as your daughter (if she is a new customer), but it is not available to you (as per the above directions), then you can always change to another network on a SIM only month to month plan e.g. SMARTY (who also use the THREE network) and then move back to iD Mobile as a new customer choosing the same deal as your daughter.
