New sim not recognized in iPhone

Hi, hope someone can help, new contract and phone Iphone Pro 16, arrived installed sim get 4g showing on phone but unable to send receive txt or calls or anything, support chat said sim activated, tried sim in wifes Iphone 14,  same thing 4g sign but unable to call/txt. Tried sim in android phone and hey presto works fine!! so we changed sim from currys re registered new sim on line and excatly same situation with new sim also wont work in Iphones but working in android. Tried re setting Iphone network etc but still nothing, anyone any ideas please

Sorted!!

All had to do was re enter my phone number under 

Settings/Apps/Phone/My number/enter my phone number starting with +44

And hey presto Sim/Phone working fine

    After scanning a eSIM in my just purchased iPhone 15 which then didn’t work  I then found the physical sim in my old iPhone 13 didn’t work either now I have no working phone at all ! Argh ! 
    please help

    If you’ve activated a SIM card the previous SIM would now be deactivated.

     

    What appears to be the issue with the eSIM in the iPhone 15?

    Bought a iPhone 15 second hand works fine with a EE pay as you go sim put a id sim in it it doesn’t work so thought I’d download a eSIM to it . 
    that would work either . So now my physical sim in my iPhone 13 then didn’t work so I drove 15 miles to curry’s and they gave me a new sim .

    got home put it in my iPhone 13 and it won’t work!

    Iphone 15 dosent work so now I have no phone connection at all !
