Newly launched iD Mobile app

The newly launched id Mobile app just doesn’t work. It requires you to log in with your email and password along with questions regarding Face ID recognition and notifications requirements, but does not give up-to-date outstanding data, minutes or texts details. Hence it defeats the object of having an app!

When are I’d Mobile going to fix this basic requirement from the id Mobile app? Any update will be greatly appreciated.

The team are aware of the issues with seeing the correct usage, they’re working on a fix, we do not have a timescale for this fix, there wouldn’t be anything else to comment on it beyond that at this time.

 

Are you able to clear the cache and then deny the app any access to FaceID?

The app does not update the outstanding data, minutes and texts after using each of the offerings. Once again, it still keeps on asking whether face identification is required to be operational as well as whether notifications should be enabled. Despite agreeing to both questions it doesn’t implement the requirements. I do have face identification for all my bank accounts and they work perfectly each time. It is really frustrating to see the issues encountered have been outstanding since the new app was launched and hardly any progress towards their resolution is no where in sight! Unless these long standing issues are resolved as a matter of extreme urgency I woul seriously consider moving on to another service provider.


Hi @iD298372 , this isn’t a planned issue, so we do not have a set timescale we can advise due to it being unplanned. I apologise for any frustration this may cause. Are you still having difficulty with this?

Regarding your issue with FaceID, are you using FaceID for any other apps with success? It may be worth clearing the app’s storage and cache then reinstalling it, ensuring it is up to date.

it is good that you have acknowledged the fact that there is an issue with the newly launched app, in terms of not showing the outstanding minutes, data and texts, but no resolution timescale has been mentioned. How long does it take to address the most basic of requirements?

the app also asks questions as to whether Face ID is required to be enabled, but doesn’t implement it eeen after agreeing to it. The same applies to whether notifications are required to be sent. These two questions are asks each time you log on without any resulting action.
